Racing background
How did you get into racing? I was born into it. I thought everyone went to the races in the Summer…. At least all the cool people do!
How long have you been racing? Over 30 years. Started in 1984 with an enduro bomber car and race until 1987. Got married and started a family and returned to racing in 1994 in the Pro Stock division. Moved to the Late Model division in 1999.
What's your racing history? 1984-1987 Bomber Division: Hawkeye Downs (1st feature win in 1985 on dirt), Independence, West Union, Blue Grass, Burlington, Mason City
1994–1998: Pro Stock Division. Raced primarily at Vinton, Independence, Farley. Other tracks I raced at West Union, Dubuque, Tipton, West Liberty, Davenport, Blue Grass, Burlington, Great Jones County Fair Monticello, IA.
1999 to Present: Late Model Dubuque, Farley, Independence, West Union Fairgrounds & Echo Valley Speedway, Allison, West Liberty, Davenport, East Moline, Tipton, Decorah, Mason City, Algona, Oskaloosa, Eldon, Des Moines State Fairgrounds, Marshalltown, Burlington, Donnellson, Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, NE, Quincy Raceway in Quincy, IL
Notable racing achievements or highlights: Pro Stock Track Champion at Vinton in 1998. First win in a Late Model was the Indy Open at Independence in June 2003. 2nd in weekly points at Dubuque for NASCAR weekly racing in 2003. 2nd in points in 2024 at Independence.
